OCWR is one of the region's biggest and most influential waste management companies, watched by other municipalities for their cutting-edge approach to ecology and conservation, as well as their high-profile public outreach programs. As a writer, I am presented with a number of challenges: being given raw data and statistics and translating them into a compelling success story, and creating work that pleases everyone in the client bureaucracy -- and that means scientists, PR people, financial people and managers -- while still living up to my own standards.
