Editor, Racked LA
For nearly 2 1/2 years, I was the editor of Racked LA, a popular LA-centric fashion and lifestyle blog. This wasn't a "look at my outfit" fashion blog but featured news, interviews, essays and some reportage-style pieces, all written in a smart and sometimes snarky tone. In addition to overseeing all editorial content, I was responsible for promoting the site via Twitter, Facebook and regular email newsletters. In two years, I grew readership from about 2,000 a day to 12,000 a day. And I did this in my spare time while holding a full-time job, which I think speaks volumes about my time-management skills.
